Don't Ever Rent Private House with Contract in UK

Biggest mistake I have ever made!!! UK has this stupid tenancy rule where you can’t get out of your contract unless you find a replacement. As in the states, all you need to do is pay the penalty. Shit sucks. I moved out of the dorm and am now living in a room in a private house, and the shit is wack as fuck (notice the cussing? I normally don’t cuss). The damn people living in the house keep turning the heat off after 10 min I turned it on. Ridiculous. It’s freezing in the house. I’m half way sick, and they do this shit? The damn landlord won’t let me get out of the contract even after only a week of signing it. The other dorm closer to campus has a room available, but told me a day late. I’m so angry and stressed out over this.
